Alexis Wright, M.A.
I am a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in Georgia (AMFT 000828). Being an associate therapist means that I am currently under supervision and direction of a fully licensed therapist, Dr. Kara McDaniel.
My Journey
My life’s journey has afforded me the opportunity to create connections with numerous individuals along the way. I enjoy getting to know new people and hearing their stories. Couples therapy became an interest to me due to my favorite kinds of stories, love stories. Empowering couples to have a satisfying relationship by helping them strengthen their intimacy, sexual health, and communication has become one of my passions.
My Style
Making that first step towards change may seem intimidating. It takes determination and courage. I strive to provide a space that is safe and compassionate, where you will feel comfortable to be yourself as you explore sensitive topics such as relational health and sexuality. I will help you create the relationships you desire by working to improve communication, increase emotional connection, and deepen intimacy.
My Area of Specialty
My areas of specialty include: aging & sexuality, mismatched desire, lack of sexual interest, and shame.
I will work with you to develop a holistic plan to increase your relationship wellness and sexual health. You will learn to effectively communicate and handle conflict productively using research-based interventions. I will additionally assist you in working through any concerns or challenges hindering a healthy and happy sex life.
I invite you to reach out to me for a 10 minute consultation. I see individuals, couples, and families in a compassionate and confidential space. Feel free to contact me at my direct number at (470)880-2426 or via email at awright@irwsh.com.
