Couples Therapy
Couples therapy is comprised of 3 broad phases. Phase 1 is the assessment phase. In this phase, you complete interviews and questionnaires that assist your therapist in understanding your treatment issues, your individual histories, and the history of your relationship. Information gathered in this phase allows your therapist to develop an individualized plan that will guide your treatment. Phase 2 is the treatment phase. In this phase, the focus is on addressing the issues that brought you to therapy and developing skills to communicate effectively and manage your relationship. Your therapist will work with you and your partner to have constructive conversations, to develop a deeper understanding of one another, and to develop a closer, more connected relationship. Phase 3 is the part of treatment focused on relapse prevention. In this phase, you have mastered the skills taught during Phase 2 and you and your therapist work to fade out of therapy while continuing to build skills to ensure long-term treatment success.
Relationship Assessment
Couples Therapy begins with an assessment of the relationship. Three meetings comprise the assessment process: An initial couple interview, individual interviews with each partner (45 minutes each), and a feedback session. The assessment process guides treatment conceptualization and the interventions utilized in treatment.

Relationship Therapy
Couples Therapy begins once the assessment is complete. Treatment consists of skills building interventions designed to strengthen and repair communication, trust, your friendship, intimacy, conflict management, friendship, and much more.

Intensive Couples Assessment and Treatment Services
We offer half-day, full-day, and two-day assessment, therapy, and pre-marital preparation services for couples who want to achieve significant results in a short amount of time. Couples whose schedules make it difficult to attend weekly therapy sessions also benefit from intensive couples services. Because of the time commitment involved, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.

This one-day session is intended for couples who have already completed the Couples Therapy Assessment process and would like to move quickly through specific issues in their relationship. The session is designed to help you reprioritize your relationship, build, maintain, and/or repair your connection. This type of session is also useful for couples experiencing a crisis and are in need focused support to address the issue.

Two-Day Private Couple's Weekend Retreat
(12 hours)
This two-day private couple's retreat is intended for couples who want to move quickly through specific issues in their relationship. The session is designed to help you reprioritize your relationship, build, maintain, and/or repair your connection. This type of session is also useful for couples experiencing a crisis and are in need focused support to address the issue. This intensive therapy package may either include the entire assessment process as well as a full-day of therapy and skill-building or two-full days of therapy and skill-building.

Our clinical practice provides services on a fee-for-service basis. We offer out of network provider services. If your insurance plan includes out-of-network coverage, we can provide you with a therapy bill statement that you may submit to your insurance company to obtain reimbursement.
Please note, that insurance companies only reimburse for medically necessary treatment. As such, a client wishing to use insurance will need to qualify for a mental disorder diagnosis, which will become part of their medical record.
Most insurance companies do not reimburse for services not associated with the treatment of a diagnosable mental health condition. Therefore, sex therapy, couples therapy, and relationship therapy services generally are not reimbursed by insurance companies as they are not considered medically necessary.
Please check with your insurance carrier to determine if the services you seek are covered and if any authorizations are needed prior to beginning treatment or seeking evaluation services.
